BÖHLER FOX BVD 90 Features and Typical Applications
The deposition rate is 80%–100% higher than that of vertical-up welding.
Thanks to its specialized design and development, this electrode offers excellent arc-starting properties and prevents initial porosity. Thanks to these features and its good welding characteristics, this special base-coated electrode is easy to use even under field conditions.
A flux-coated electrode for vertical-down welding of large-diameter pipelines and steel structural work. It is suitable for filler and cap passes in pipeline construction. The weld metal is highly crack-resistant, has high toughness, and very low hydrogen content.

A basic-coated electrode for ductile and crack-resistant fusion welding of unalloyed and low-alloy steels. The weld metal exhibits excellent toughness values down to –40 °C. The strength of the weld metal is relatively low compared to other basic-coated electrodes and is compatible with the strength of unalloyed steels. High toughness values are maintained even in the aged condition. Low hardness level (≤ 210 HV).
Bu elektrot, the welding of ammonia tanks için gerekli şartlara son derece uygundur.
